When we started Rice Roots, it wasn’t just about building a brand. We wanted to solve a problem that was hidden in plain sight.

For years, we watched small and micro rice millers work with incredible dedication, only to lose their hard earned value to middlemen and broken systems. Meanwhile, customers were paying premium prices for rice that lacked true representation. This gap was big, unfair, and ignored and we knew it had to change.

Rice Roots is our way of fixing that gap.

We’ve spent months inside the mills, speaking with millers and understanding their daily struggles, workflows, and hopes. Everything we are building the technology, the logistics, and the data flow is rooted in these real life conversations and the genuine needs of real people.
